Racing Automotive Group specializes in sale of tyre and vehicle components.Shipping must be done quickly and efficiently because of the nature of their business.Large order management presents difficulties for the organization, particularly with regard to Multiple packaging per order. They are searching for the best shipping solution to achieve timely delivery of products and less user intervention.



Problems:

Multi-Pack Orders: The customer required to manage orders with numerous packages, but ShipStation's API presented challenges because it did not allow for the direct creation of several packages per order.

Time-consuming Packaging: It was labor-intensive and reduced operational efficiency to create many packages for large or bulk orders.

Automated Packaging Process: The client was looking for a way to create packages automatically. In order to streamline the process, they required a system that could decide which packaging would fit a product the best depending on its weight and dimension.

Solution: 

The following measures were taken to address these issues:

Direct Shipment Creation: A direct shipment creation method was developed in place of creating orders in ShipStation. By generating shipments based on individual packages, our approach got around the API restriction and made managing multi-pack orders easier.

Automated Packaging System: To create packaging for large orders, an automated procedure was created. This technology uses the weight and dimensions of the product to determine which packaging would match it best. It reduces the amount of space needed and the number of packages needed, which saves time and lessens human labor.

Integration with ShipStation: To guarantee smooth order fulfillment, the automated packing system was integrated with ShipStation. The link facilitated the client's ability to monitor shipments and effectively handle several deliveries for each order.

Findings:

Enhanced Efficiency: By cutting down on the amount of time needed to manufacture and handle packages, the new system enhanced overall operational efficiency.

Increased Accuracy: By automating the packaging process, human error was reduced and products were correctly packed and delivered on schedule.

Cost Savings: The client cut costs on shipping and packaging materials by optimizing package sizes and minimizing manual labor.
